Dear Mr. Alba:
Thanks for offering your valuable expertise and guidance to our students. I’ll encourage them to ask you any question they have about a career in law enforcement or investigations. In fact, our technology teacher told me that her son was so impressed after listening to you that he has applied for admission in John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
I like your idea of providing students an in depth knowledge of investigations by assigning a real case research project. That would be an excellent assignment. Students will choose a case from a set list, do research, collect information, discuss evidence available and write a report or prepare a power point presentation. I would welcome any suggestions from you regarding this project.
With sincere thanks
KJohal
Dear Mr. Alba
Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit Sacred Heart High School and talk to our forensic science students. It was not only interesting and inspirational but it provided a real practical knowledge about how investigations are done. It greatly helped to enhance the material being covered in class and make the theoretical aspects of the subject much more concrete.
I’m sure our students learned a great deal about this field. The realistic information and perspective on this subject that you provided them is not available from text books. Students were fascinated to hear how you solved some of your cases and helped to bring relief to the family members of those involved. It is interesting to know that some of my students have decided to pursue a career in this field.
Please accept my sincerest appreciation for coming to SHHS and inspiring our young minds. I look forward to see you again. Good luck in you future endeavors!
Dr. Johal
