It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of testimony for Gil Alba . I have known Gil for over ten years. Gil and I first met in 1993. We were assigned to a Joint FBI/NYPD Task Force. Gil had well over twenty years experience with the Police Department and was already an accomplished investigator. Gil and I along with other task force members investigated notorious home invasion robbery gangs, who preyed on business owners and rob them of proceeds from their business. These robberies were always violent in nature and the victims and their family were often tied up, terrorized and tortured until they disclose the whereabouts of the money.
With just three years as a detective, I was very luck and honored to learn from one of the best investigators in the New York City Police Department.
In time that I’ve worked with Gil, Gil conducted himself in a professional and responsible matter. Gil had a caring attitude towards all of his cases. He has always exhibited good judgment, and the ability to take an investigation and investigate the case to a logical and successful conclusion.
I was very happy to hear that Gil was selected as this year’s ALDONYS Investigator of the year. Gil truly deserves this honor.
